Meanwhile, On the Internet …

We’ve been awful busy this week with our 50% Off Sale / American Red Cross weekend. This is a compendium of the things we’ve been paying attention to on the internet in the midst of it all.

+ Above, Bob Dylan’s new video for “Duquesne Whistle” is so damn good.

+ Our whole lives we’ve been pronouncing Mrs. Arbus’s name like Shelley Long’s character on “Cheers,” not like the lead singer of the Belmonts. Thanks, internet.

+ The Sartorialist put together another one of those dinners featuring some of the best-dressed men on the planet. As great as it looks in black and white, we would have liked to have caught a glimpse of what these dudes were wearing in, you know, color.

+ DJ Food and friends remixed and re-imagined the Beastie Boys’ Paul’s Boutique from the original samples and a capellas. Required listening.

+ “In 1972 he crashed his Lamborghini Miura and broke both his ankles. He promptly ordered another.” The Selvedge Yard provided a history of Miles Davis’s obsession with fast cars.

+ Before there was the internet, there were matchbooks.
